I really do, but lately I wonder about her...then she goes and does something that proves it. She's getting very old and starting to lose it...may have lost most of it, so it's painful to hear some of the things she says...thinking that buying me lunch equates to paying for a tank of gas (I run all her errands every week, so it's not out of place to want something, gas isn't free @_@). So she called my mom to ask what I do with my money (I get about $400 a month). My mom went on to tell her exactly what I do with my money...car insurance, weight watchers, gas, a fair amount of my food, some clothes, etc. And I go by her house to pick up her latest shopping list, and she's gotten me a card. it's a peanuts card, says 'You got a card for no reason at all!' and on the inside was 'If that doesn't prove you're special, nothing does!' signed 'Love you, Grandma'. made me smile ^_^. it also contained a check for $200...which more than the money itself shows that somewhere behind the pseudo senility, some part of the grandma I grew up with is still there, and still cares.
